Amanda Jane Huffman was born in Guthrie county, Iowa, Jan. 13, 1886 and departed this life at her home June 8, 1925, aged 39 years, 4 months and 27 days, after a short illness. All her life was spent in Madison county except three years.

She was married to Fred Roy, Sept. 8, 1912. Her mother preceded her in this life Jan. 25, 1895; also one brother, April 6, 1922. She leaves to mourn her loss, her husband, her father, George Huffman, one brother, Walker; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Klingaman and Mrs. Esther Haymond, besides three nieces, ten nephews, several aunts and uncles, cousins and a host of friends and neighbors who will sadly miss her.

Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at the Methodist church, conducted by Rev. F. C. McCallon of the Church of Christ.
