Hazel Catherine Huston Albright, 86, formerly of Truro, died of a heart ailment May 20, 1999, at Integrated Health Services in Winterset.
Funeral services were held Monday, May 24, at Kale Funeral Home in Truro with the Revs. Shawn Walden and Jim Nicholson officiating. Burial was at Young Cemetery.
Hazel Albright was born June 14, 1912, to Jim and Elsie (Miles) Lathrum of St. Charles. A graduate of Truro High School, she married Harold "Pete" Huston on Oct. 1, 1932. She returned to Truro following the death of her husband Pete in 1961. On Aug. 24, 1979, in New Virginia, she was united in marriage to Ralph R. Albright. Hazel was a branch manager of Union State Bank in Truro and was a member of the Truro United Methodist Church and a past member of the Order of Eastern Star, also in Truro.
She was preceded in death by both husbands and four brothers.
She is survived by one son, Jim Huston (wife Sue) of Darlington, Wis.; two daughters, Carolyn Huston Hicks (husband Stanley) of St. Louis, Mo., and Barb Huston Goering (husband Ron) of St. Charles; six stepchildren, John Albright of Dallas, Texas, Charles Albright (wife Jan) of Rapid City, S.D., Curtis Albright (wife Lynne) of Des Moines, Rachel Kinkennon (husband Ervin ) of Branson, Mo., Marcia Conford (husband Eain) of Van Nuys, Calif., and Juanita Hefte of St. Petersburg, Fla.; one sister, Zola Estes of Osceola; 9 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and several stepgrandchildren. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Truro Library.
