TruroVenice Lenore Burt, 90, of Truro died of a heart ailment Wednesday at Des Moines General Hospital. Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Kale Funeral Home in Truro, with burial at Young Cemetery there.
Mrs. Burt was born in Pitzer and lived most of her life in the Truro area. She was a retired teacher, having taught in country schools at Lorimor and junior high school in Greenfield. She was a member of the Iowa State Education Association and Immaculate Conception Church at St. Marys.
She is survived by a son, Dean of Cedar Rapids; a sister, Dortha Schaeffer of Cuba, Mo.; and five grandchildren.
Friends may call after noon today at the funeral home, where the family will be present from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.
