Winterset Madisonian - 1926

Oren E. Hardy, for many years a resident of Winterset, died at his home in Minneapolis early Saturday morning at the age of 67 years. Mr. Hardy was born in Union township, Madison county, March 28, 1858. His parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Hardy, were among the early settlers of the county. In 1882 Mr. Oren Hardy was married to Luella Black of Douglas township. They moved in 1900 to Chicago and lived there two years before moving to Minneapolis.

He had been ill only a few days and death came as a result of a heart ailment. Funeral services were conducted at the home in Minneapolis. He is survived by his wife, four daughters of Minneapolis and one brother, Bert L. Hardy of Winterset.
