Death,The Unwelcome Guest, Visits Several Homes in Winterset and Vicinty.

Samuel P. Handy died Sunday evening the 26th at the home of his son, Albert Handy, of Union township, at the advanced age of eighty-three years. The funeral was held at Patterson on Tuesday. Rev. Wilbur Requa, of Winterset, officiated, and the burial was made in the Mt. Pelier cemetery near Patterson.

Samuel P. Handy

The death of Samuel P. Handy occurred last Sunday evening at his home seven miles northeast of Winterset. He was eighty-four years of age and had lived in the county but a few years, coming here from Missouri. He was the father of thirteen children, seven of whom survive.

The funeral services were held at the church in Patterson and interment was in the Patterson cemetery.
