Page 1Death of J. Chandler Beach
Jesse Chandler Beach, who had been ill for a number of weeks, died at the home of his brother, O. E. Beach, Friday morning, September 27th. Mr. Beach was 79 years of age, and had lived in this county since in 1891. Since then he had resided with Mr. and Mrs. O. E. Beach, and moved to Winterset with them twenty years ago.
The deceased was a son of Mr. and Mrs. Julius Beach and was born December 25, 1850, in Lee county, Iowa. Besides Mr. Beach of Winterset, he leaves a brother, A. A. Beach of Colorado. The Rev. Paul Main Fowler conducted the funeral services Sunday, September 29th, at 3 o'clock at Tidrick's funeral home, and burial was in the Winterset cemetery. The mortuary appears on page two.

Jesse Chandler Beach, son of Julius and Jane Allen Beach, was born December 25, 1850, in Lee county, Iowa. At an early age he united with the Congregational church of Hillsboro. After spending the first half of his life in the neighborhood of Hillsboro, he came to Madison county, near Macksburg. In 1891, Mr. Beach spent most of the remainder of his life in the home of his brother, O. E. Beach, and moved to Winterset with Mr. and Mrs. O E. Beach about twenty years ago. He leaves two brothers, A. A. Beach, of Colorado, and O. E. Beach of Winterset, to mourn his loss, eight brothers and sisters having preceded him in death. He passed away at 3 a.m. Friday, September 27th.
