Cindy Leonard, Peru

Cindy Leonard, 48, of Peru died Aug. 16, 1998, at Mercy Hospital Medical Center in Des Moines from injuries received in an accident.

Memorial graveside services were held today (Wednesday, Aug. 19) at 11 a.m. at Peru Cemetery with Father Frank Palmer officiating.

Cindy Leonard was born June 22, 1950, in Westfield, N.Y., to Richard Herman and Irene Hannah Ossman Way. She married Steven Leonard Aug. 14, 1993, in Winterset. Cindy was a computer operator with Allied Insurance in Des Moines and had lived in Madison County for the past six years. She previously lived in Westfield, N.Y. She was a member of Sigma Phi Sorority in Winterset and the Word of Life Christian Center, also in Winterset.

She was preceded in death by her father.

She is survived by her husband; her mother, Irene Golden of Westfield, N.Y.; four sons, Steve Riedesel of Elwood City, Pa., David Leonard of Peru, Jimmy Riedesel of Fredonia, N.Y., and Jeremy Leonard of Des Moines; one daughter, Lisa Riedesel of Westfield, N.Y.; one brother, Brady Way of Hamburg, N.Y.; and three sisters, Ramona Way Georgi of East Concord, N.Y., Linda Rubeck of Arcadia, N.Y. and Karen Ross of Las Vegas, Nev.

Memorial contributions may be directed to the family.

Funeral arrangements were handled by Collins Funeral Home in Winterset.
