Funeral services for Hazel B. Baker, 79, were held Wed., May 6 at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Merrill Siler officiating. Mrs. Baker died of cancer May 4 at her rural residence.
A lifetime Madison County resident, she was born August 24, 1912 in Peru to Arnie and Pearl (Silliman) Emerson and married William C. Baker on December 15, 1937 in Missouri. She was a homemaker and a member of First Methodist Church of Lorimor, Casson Friendship Club and Royal Neighbors of America.
She was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.
Surviving is a brother, Martin A. Emerson of Nevada.
Burial will be at Peru Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Central Iowa.
