Vern Hull, 74, of Winterset, died of a heart ailment Feb. 17, 1996 at the Madison County Memorial Hospital in Winterset.
Funeral services were Feb. 20 at Collins funeral Home in Winterset.
The Rev. Don Frank officiated the services and burial was at the Peru Cemetery. Military Graveside services were conducted by the American Legion Post No. 184 and V.F.W. Post No. 8142.
He was born in Peru on March 23, 1921 to Lawrence William and Jennie L. (Weaver) Hull. He married Dawn A. Wambold on July 27, 1963 at Knoxville. He was a lifetime resident of Madison County and has worked as a mechanic for E. I. Sargent Quarry and Martin Marietta Quarry. He was a Navy veteran of WW II.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and one grandson.
Surviving relatives include his wife; one son, William (Bill) Hull and wife Dawn of Winterset; four step-sons, Mike Waltz and wife Shelia of Winterset, Coy Waltz and wife Lola of Winterset, Kevin Waltz and wife Misty of Lorimor, and David Waltz and wife Debbie of Winterset; two step-daughters, Bingta Waltz and Cae Farrow, both of Lorimor; and 17 grandchildren.

Laverne Hull passed away on Feb. 17. Services were held Feb. 20 at Collins Funeral Home in Winterset. Military graveside rites were held in the Peru Cemetery. The Peru United Methodist Women served lunch after the services at the church for relatives and friends.
