Arabella M. Miller

Arabella M. Miller, daughter of Absolm and Elizabeth Rosenberger, was born February 6, 1862 in Jasper county, Iowa. She passed into the life eternal, at her home in Douglas township, October 13, 1929, aged 67 years, 8 months and 7 days.

At the age of 16 years she united in marriage to Lawson B. Miller, whose death occurred November 29, 1910. To this union were born five children, three of whom are living and were with her during her illness and death. Katy having passed away in March, 1904, and Mrs. Meredith (Merdeth) Ulmer, who preceded her mother in death, January 13, this year.

Mrs. Miller was a devoted wife, loving mother and sister, and a friend to all who knew her. And though often times called upon to pass through many sorrows, remained brave and cheerful.

The yearning of her life was for home and the happiness and success of her children, by whom she will be sadly missed.

Those left to mourn her are her children, Mrs. O. L. Stewart, Earl and Fred Miller and 4 grandchildren, of Madison county, a sister, Mrs. J. H. Kuhns, and a brother, John Rosenberger, of Richardson county, Nebraska. Other relatives and a host of friendes.

Arabella M. Rosenberger, daughter of Absolom and Elizabeth Rosenberger, was born Feb. 6, 1862 in Jasper county, Ia. She passed into the life eternal at her home in Douglas township Oct. 13, 1929, aged 67 years, 8 months and 7 days. Her childhood days were spent with her parents until on March 6, 1884 she was united in marriage to Lawson B. Miller, whose death occurred Nov. 29, 1910. To this union were born five children, three of whom are living and were with her during her illness and death, ever ready to do all that loving hearts and willing hands could do. Katy passed away in 1904 and Mrs. Meredith Ulmer January 13 of this year.

At the age of sixteen years Mrs. Miller became a member of the Bloomfield M. E. church. She was a devoted wife, loving mother and sister and a friend to all who knew her, and though oftentimes called upon to pass through many sorrows, remained brave and cheerful, looking on the sunny side of life. The yearning of her life was for her home and the happiness and success of her children by whom she will be sadly missed. Those left to mourn her are her children: Mrs. O. L. Stewart, Earl and Fred Miller; four grandchildren of Madison county; a sister, Mrs. John Kuhns, and one brother John Rosenberger of Nebraska; and a number of other relatives besides a host of friends.

Funeral services were held at the Worthington church on Wednesday afternoon, conducted by Rev. W. C. Porter assisted by Rev. Weed of West Star.

Obituary - Mrs. Arabella Miller

Arabella M. Miller, daughter of Absalom and Elizabeth Rosengerger (sic) was born February 6, 1862 in Jasper county, Iowa, and died at her home in Douglas township, October 13, 1929, aged 67 years, 8 months and 7 days.

At the age of 16 years she united with the Methodist church at Bloomfield chapel in Polk county, March 6,1884 she was united in marriage to Lawson B. Miller, whose death occurred November 29, 1910. To this union were born five children, three of whom are living and were with her during her illness and death, Katy, having died March 1904 and Mrs. Merdeth Ulmer who preceded her mother in death January 13, 1929.

Those surviving are her children, Mrs. O. L. Stewart, Earl and Fred Miller and four grandchildren of Madison county; a sister, Mrs. John Coons, of Humboldt, Nebraska, and a brother, John Rosenberger of Stella, Nebraska and other relatives.

Funeral services were held October 16, at the Worthington by the Rev. A. R. Weed, with Rev. W. C. Porter preaching a sermon; burial was in the Worthington cemetery.
