Death of Mrs. Merdeth Ulmer

Mrs. Merdeth Ulmer, daughter of Mrs. Arabella Miller, died at the home of her mother on Sunday, January 13th, at the age of 44 years. She was born January 13th, 1885, and was married on April 24, 1912, to Norman M. Ulmer.

Mrs. Ulmer leaves besides her husband, her mother, Mrs. Arabella Miller, one sister, Mrs. O. L. Stewart of Lorimor, and two brothers, Earl and Fred of Winterset, to mourn her loss.

Mrs. Merdeth Ulmer

Merdeth Miller Ulmer, oldest daughter of Lawson and Arabella Miller, was born January 13, 1885, and departed this life on her forty-fourth birthday, January 13, 1929, at the home of her mother, with whom she was spending the holidays, being in perfect health on arrival here. She was stricken with influenza, which later developed in pneumonia, and all that loving hands and tender care could do failed to restore her to health.

On April 24, 1912, she was united in marriage to Norman M. Ulmer of Dawson, Nebraska, where they had since made their home.

Her membership in the Early Chapel Christian church, with which she united in youth, was transferred to the Dawson Evangelical church, in which she never ceased being an active worker, having been the teacher of the young ladies class in the Sunday school for several years. She was one of rare ability, outstanding among many in her eagerness to obtain knowledge of the newer and better things of life, and will be greatly missed by a loving husband, devoted mother, one sister, Mrs. O. L. Stewart of Lorimor, and two brothers, Earl and Fred, of Winterset, and a host of relatives and friends.

Funeral services were conducted by Rev. W. C. Porter at Worthington and burial was in the Worthington cemetery.
