Iris Elizabeth Macumber, 88, of Dayton, Ohio, died June 4, 1996. Graveside services will be June 10 at 12:30 p.m. at the Clark Cemetery in Madison County. Visitation will be one hour prior to service at Collins Funeral Home in Winterset. Pastor Jane Follmer Zekoff will officiate the services.
She was born in Madison County on May 1, 1908 to Ora and Ella (Kennedy) Macumber. She lived in Madison County until 1932 and has lived in Dayton, Ohio, since 1941. She was a teacher at the Macksburg schools for two years, and was a home economist with the Ohio Extension Service in Montgomery County until her retirement in 1976.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother; and one brother-in-law.
Surviving relatives include one sister, Ruth F. Follmer of Stanley; four nieces; and one nephew.
