MARY A. BLOMQUIST

Mary A. Murphy, daughter of William and Mary Murphy was born April 19, 1882 near Woodward, Iowa and passed away December 15, 1957 at the Dallas County Memorial Hospital.

She was united in marriage to Frank Wallace in 1899 at Atlantic, Iowa, who preceded her in death August 6, 1917. She later came to Earlham, where she became the wife of Swan/Sven Blomquist, November 19, 1919. She resided in this vicinity until the death of her husband, August 12, 1954, after which time she moved to Bouton, Iowa where she lived until her death.

She was never blessed with children of her own, but was very near and dear to her nephew, Richard B. Daugherty, whom she raised from baby-hood.

She was preceded in death by her husband, six brothers and five sisters, and is survived by a number of nieces and nephews and a host of friends and neighbors who mourn her passing.

She was of the Christian Faith and led a good and useful life by lending a helping hand whenever needed.

Funeral sevcices for Mrs. Mary Blomquist were held at the Gail Leeper Funeral Home tuesday, Devember 17 at 2:00 p.m. Rev. Paul Moore, Jr. was in charge.
