Death of Lem Bishop

Lem Bishop, a former resident of Walnut township, died at Bedford, Tuesday, April 16th. He was eighty years of age and had been in poor health for some time.

Funeral services were held at Nodaway, April 18, and burial was made in the Nodaway cemetery.

Mr. Bishop is survived by three children, who live in the southwestern part of Iowa. He is survived by a niece and a nephew in Madison county, Mrs. F. A. Bardrick and C. E. Spurgin.

FUNERAL SERVICES - LEMUEL BISHOP

Lemuel Bishop, eighty years old, died April 16, at Bedford; burial was made April 18 at Nodaway.

Mr. Bishop was born and reared in Walnut township and had a wide acquaintance in the county. For years he had the Kasson store and post office.

Mr. Bishop had three children, none of whom live in the county. Mrs. James Pindell, of Afton, is sister; Mrs. G. A. Bardrick of Winterset, is a niece and county clerk Charles Spurgin is a nephew.
