F. C. Farquhar received word last Wednesday of the death of his brother, Arthur Farquhar, of Audubon. Mr. Farquhar died at the Methodist hospital in Des Moines, Wednesday, following an operation Monday. At the time of his death he was 61 years of age. The funeral services were held at Audubon Saturday at three o'clock.
Mr. Farquhar had visited in Winterset many times and Mrs. Farquhar spent a year here a number of years ago.
He is survived by his wife and daughter, Mrs. M. C. Leonard of Lincoln, Nebraska. Mrs. Farquhar was formerly Miss May Hunt. Besides F. C. Farquhar of Winterset, there is a brother in Lincoln, one in Villisca, and two sisters in Audubon. He had been general agent of the Register Life Insurance company for a number of years. Mr. and Mrs. F. C. Farquhar returned Sunday morning from Audubon, where they had attended the services.
