Mildred Barbara Kale of Truro died Saturday, June 25 (1983), at her home in Truro at the age of 84. Funeral services were held Tuesday, June 28, at the Kale Funeral Home of Truro with Rev. Janne Clinton of New Virginia officiating. Burial was at Young Cemetery in Truro.
Born Feb. 18, 1899, in Russell, Iowa, she was the daughter of Sam and Alda Mae Goltry. She was married to Harry W. Kale who preceded her in death.
She is survived by two sons, Wilson Kale of Ferndale, Calif., and Boyd Kale of Des Moines; two brothers, Duane Boyd and Clell Boyd, both of Bothel, Wash.; one sister Thesh Shady of Des Moines; and three grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two sisters, one brother and a grandson.

Page 12, Column 1Mildred Barbara Kale, 84, of Truro died Saturday, June 25 at her home. Services were held Tuesday June 28 at the Kale Funeral Home in Truro with the Rev. Janne Clinton of New Virginia officiating at the 1 p.m. rites. Interment was in the Young Cemetery Truro.
Mildred Barbara Kale was born February 18, 1899 in Russell, Iowa to Sam Boyd and Alda Mae Goltry Boyd. She attended school in Russell and Simpson College in Indianola. She married Harry W. Kale on September 8, 1921 in Des Moines and taught in several schools around the New Virginia area. She was a member of the Thursday Girls and the Truro Congregational Christian Church.
Survivors include a son, Wilson Kale and wife, Larae of Ferndale, California, a son, Boyd Kale and wife, Phyllis of Des Moines, three grandchildren, two brothers, Dwayne Boyd and Clell Boyd, both of Bothel, Washington, and one sister, Thesa Shady of Des Moines.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one grandson, two sisters and one brother.
