Fay Black, daughter of Norris and Armelda Snyder Jordan, was born June 13, 1900 in Adair County; and passed away at Winterset Memorial County Hospital, November 11, 1977.
She is survived by her husband, Bill; one daughter, Hazel Wheeler, and one son, Harold Wheeler; two granddaughters, Brenda and Brook; four sisters, Elva Mobley, Eleta Willcox, Opal Locke of Winterset, Uva Ray of Bloomington, Minnesota; one brother, John Marvin Jordan of Clarksville, Arkansas.
She was preceded in death by her parents and five brothers.
Services were held in the Earlham United Methodist Church at 1:30 p.m., November 14, 1977, Rev. Dave Higdon, officiating. Organist was Mrs. Gretchen Brittain, Casketbearers were Bob Branam, Jerold Brauer, Jim Hunter, Frank Inman, Dale Mills, Stanley Williamson. Interment was in Earlham Cemetery. Arrangements were made by McKee Funeral Homes.
