Imogene Young, 87, of Winterset, died of cancer Nov. 4, 1996 at the Winterset Care Center South. Graveside services will be today, Nov. 6 at 1 p.m. at the Winterset Cemetery. The Rev. Davis Bauer will officiate the services.

She was born Nov. 30, 1908 in Hancock to Robert John and Louisa (Bair) Martin. She attended Simpson College and married Blair Young on Dec. 18, 1932 in Des Moines.

She was a homemaker and had lived in Madison County since 1932. She was a life member of the Madison County Historical Association; a charter member of the Madison County Antique Association; a 50 year member of the PEO, Chapter AG; the Women's Club, and the First United Presbyterian Church in Winterset.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband.

Surviving relatives include two sons, Noel Young of Laramie, Wyo., and Robert Young and wife Dixie of Winterset; six grandchildren and four great- grandchildren.
