Funeral services were held Sunday, January 7th, at 3 o'clock, for William Pludark Parker, who died here, January 5th, at the age of 68 years. They were conducted by Rev. H. L. Olmstead, pastor of the Church of Christ in Winterset. Burial was at Fairview Cemetery.
Mr. Parker was born May 5, 1865 in Indiana. He was married to Elizabeth Hook on July 17, 1888, and they were the parents of eight children, four daughters and four sons. Only four of these survive him. They are: Clarence Parker of Marshalltown, Charles Parker of Indianapolis, Margaret A. Padley of Van Meter and Georgia Johnson of Winterset.
