Death of Mrs. C. Kellogg

Word was received Wednesday of the death of Mrs. Charity Lothrop Kellogg. Mrs. Kellogg had been in ill health the past year. She was taken worse several weeks ago and death occurred Monday, August 12th, at Los Angeles, California. Funeral services were held at Los Angeles August 14th. Mrs. Oscar Olson of Chicago, Mrs. Maude Whedon Smith of Iowa City, and Mrs. Nelson Bertholf were nieces of Mrs. Kellogg's.

Mrs. Kellogg was about 83 years of age at the time of her death. After the death of her husband, Mr. Raymond, she taught in the Winterset schools for several years and was loved by her pupils. After her marriage to Mr. Kellogg, they made their home at Charles City. After the death of Mr. Kellogg she kept her home at Charles City for several years but the last few years she has visited here with Mrs. Bertholf, and in California. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. C. B. Lothrop.
