Funeral services were held July 24 for Carl Benjamin Henry, 58, at the First Christian Church with the Rev. Leonard Leslie officiating. Mr. Henry died July 21, 1993 at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines. Burial was at Winterset Cemetery.

He was born in Winterset On November 1, 1934 to Edwin and Ruth (Travis) Henry. He married Shirley Davis, April 1, 1956 in Winterset. He was a self-employed heavy equipment owner and operator. A lifetime resident of the area, he was a member of the Winterset Booster Club and the Land Improvement Contractors Association of America. He was a member of the First Christian Church.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Surviving relatives include his mother, Ruth Clark and stepfather, Robert of Winterset; his wife, Shirley of Winterset; two brothers, Edwin Henry of St. Francisville, Mo., and Russell Henry and wife Jane of Winterset; a stepbrother, Richard Clark of Auburn, Wash.; and four stepsisters, Donna Jarvis of Kansas City, Mo., Patricia Klink of Federal Way, Wash, Roberta Oetker of Minneapolis, Minn, and Carla Young of Winterset.
