Margaret Lenore Binns, 74, of Winterset died June 9, 2000 of complications of a respiratory ailment at Madison County Memorial Hospital in Winterset. Funeral services were June 12 at Collins Funeral Home in Winterset. Pastor Bobb Barrick officiated the services and burial followed at Winterset Cemetery.
She was born March 2, 1926 in Winterset to Warren and Rachel (Hartfield) Dorrell. She married Lenard Binns on December 31, 1946 in Madison County. She was a homemaker and a lifetime resident of Madison County. She was a member of the V.F.W. Auxiliary.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Surviving relatives include her husband; two sons, Gary Binns of Cedar Hill, Texas and Denny Binns and wife Kathy of Winterset; two daughters Diane Millsap and husband Steve of Greenfield and Kathy Jordan and husband Dennis of Prole; one brother Rex Dorrell and wife Ruth of Winterset; one sister Bernice Hansen and husband Bud of Iowa City; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
