Lillian Alla Jean Gordon, 62, of Winterset died of cancer Sept. 29, 2001, at Madison County Memorial Hospital in Winterset.
Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. today (Wednesday, Oct 3) at the Collins Oak Park Chapel in Winterset with Dr. Bobby G. Dickerson officiating. Burial was at Winterset Cemetery.
Alla Jean gordon was born June 2, 1939, to Luster Ray and Nancy Brazella Ann (Cunninham) Churchill of Okmulgee, Okla. She married Charles Olson Gordon on June 5, 1958, in Okmulgee. A homemaker, Alla Jean had been a resident of Winterset for the past 41 years, having previously resided in Fort Hood, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother.
She is survived by her husband, Charles, of Winterset; two sons, Charles Duane Gordon (wife Denise) of Winterset and Steven Lee gordon (wife Lisa) of Norwalk; three brothers, James Churchill of Okmulgee, Okla., Charles Churchill of Hitchita, Okla., and Winston Churchill of Del City, Okla.; three sisters, Shirley Waltman of Okmulgee, Okla., Twila Langley of Wichita, Kan., and Diana Sue Lucas of Beggs, Okla.; and four grandchildren.
Memorial contirbutions may be directed to Hospice of Central Iowa or Madison County Health Trust.
