Marjorie Goodknight, Winterset

Services for Marjorie Goodknight, 69, Winterset, who died May 11, at Iowa Methodist Medical Center, were held Monday, May 14, at the Collins Funeral Home with the Rev. Kenneth Helmers officiating. Burial was at the Winterset Cemetery.

Born in Adair County on Feb. 17, 1915, she was the daughter of Creed and Vivian Willcox Estel. She had lived in the area most of her life and had retired after being in the restaurant business.

She was married to Ron Goodknight on July 30, 1945 at Tupelo, Miss.

Survivors include her husband and mother, both of Winterset; a stepson, Loren of Iowa Falls; sisters, Leona Newell of Seattle, Wash., and Marcelene Zink of Cedar Rapids; and three stepgrandchildrn.

She was preceded in death by her father, a stepson, and an infant brother.
