December 28, 1977Retired farmer H. Dean Kuntz, 73, died Friday December 23, 1977, at Madison County Memorial Hospital. He was born May 30, 1904, in Winterset, the son of C. H. and Myrtle Ford Kuntz.
A lifetime resident of Madison County, Mr. Kuntz was a charter member of the Sportsmen's Club. His marriage to Pauline Christensen took place June 24, 1926, in Indianola.
Survivors include his wife, Pauline; two daughters Margaret Drake of Winterset and Mary Jo,Mrs.Arthur McGiverin of Ottumwa; seven grandchildren, a brother, Frederick Kuntz of Des Moines and three sisters, Mrs. Helen(Garland)Howell, Mrs. Genevieve (Floyd)Hart, and Mrs. Ruth(Dean)Hart, all of Winterset.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one great grandchild.
Funeral services were conducted at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, December 27, from Collins Funeral Home with burial at the Winterset Cemetery. Rev. Byron Ayers officiated.
