John Paul Mark, 92, of Creston died March 6, 2005.

Funeral services were held Thursday, March 10, at the Earlham United Methodist Church with Pastor Jerry White officiating. Burial was at Earlham Cemetery.

Paul Mark was born June 3, 1912, to William Arthur and Jessie Beatrice (Heath) Mark of rural DeSoto. He grew up on the family farm and attended DeSoto School, graduating in 1931. On Aug. 30, 1937, he married Marian Aileen Wynkoop. They farmed until 1959, when they moved to Earlham where Paul worked for the Earlham Co-op Elevator. He retired from the elevator in 1977, following over 20 years of service. In October 2002, he and his wife moved to Creston. He was a longtime member of the Earlham United Methodist Church and was involved in community activities-including 4-H, Earlham City Council and the Earlham Centennial.

He was preceded in death by his wife and a brother, Clifford Mark.

He is survived by two sons, Larry Mark of Creston and Norman Mark of Oxbow, N. D.; and six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were handled by Kuhn Funeral Homes of Dexter, Earlham and Redfield.
