Wednesday, September 3, 1980, page 1Dr. Paul Foster Chesnut of 615 W. Filmore St. died Tuesday, Sept. 2, at his home at the age of 65. A Winterset resident for 40 years, having moved here from Eldora, Dr. Chesnut was the senior member of Winterset Medical Associates.
Born on Aug. 1, 1915, at Elkton, Ky., he was the son of Dennis Foster and Agnes McDonald Chesnut. A veteran of the U.S. Army, he was united in marriage to Anjean Nazett on June 23, 1939, at Eldora. He attended the First United Presbyterian Church.
Dr. Chesnut was a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians, American Medical Association, Madison County Board of Health, Madison County Medical Society and was a past president of the Iowa Medical Society.
Among the survivors are his wife Anjean; two children, Paul of Osceola and Sally Oldham of Des Moines; and a grandchild, Courtney Oldham. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, September 4, at the First United Presbyterian Church with Rev. Alan Parker officiating. Burial will be at the Winterset Cemetery.
