Katie Bell, 75 of Winterset died of cancer Sunday at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines. The body was cremated and a memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Collins Funeral Home.

Mrs. Bell, a retired Avon representative, was born in Union County and lived in Winterset most of her life. She was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary and St. Joseph's Catholic Church.

Surviving are a brother, John Driscoll of Arizona; five grandchildren; and four great-granchildren.

Memorial services for Katie Bell, 75, were held Wed., June 10 at 10 a.m. at Collins Funeral Home with the Rev. Bob Epperson officiating, Mrs. Bell died June 7 at Iowa Methodist Medical Center, Des Moines.

A lifelong Winterset resident, she was born November 20, 1916 in Union Township to Carl Henry and Margaret Elizabeth (Smith) Driscoll and married William Stanley Bell. She was a retired Avon representative and a member of St Joseph's Catholic Church and the Veterans of Foreign War Auxiliary.

She was preceded in death by her husband, a son, two brothers and a sister.

Surviving are a daughter-in-law, Colleen Nicholl of Arkansas; a brother, John Driscoll of Arizona; two sisters-in-law, Frances Driscoll and Dorothy Driscoll, both of Winterset; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Burial was at Winterset Cemetery, Memorial contributions may be made to the V.F.W. Auxiliary.
