Helen A. Letz Died at 67

Mrs. Helen A. Letz died at the Villa West in Winterset last Saturday, Dec. 8, 1973. She was 67 years of age.

Mrs. Letz was born in Des Moines on July 13, 1906, the daughter of Dr. E. R. and Frances J. Ames. She was married to Cecil A. Letz in Des Moines on Oct. 23, 1932.

She lived a total of 34 years in Madison County, returning to Winterset in 1971 after the death of
her husband. She was affiliated with the First Christian Church of Winterset, was a Past Grand Matron of Eastern Star, and was a member of the Progressive Study Club.

Surviving are three sons; Carl Letz of Eldora, Iowa Major Robert Letz, currently stationed at Clark Air Force Base in the Philippines; and John Letz of Charles City, Iowa. Three grandchildren also survive.

Mrs. Letz was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter, one brother, and her husband.

Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m., this Wednesday, Dec. 12 at the First Christian Church in Winterset, with the Rev. Eldon E. Jandebeur officiating. Burial was in Winterset Cemetery.
