A long time employee of the Madison County Secondary Road Department, Lloyd A. Reigle, died Sunday April 23, 1978, at the age of 87. His death took place at Villa West Care Center in Winterset. He was born Sept. 23, 1890, in Jefferson township of Madison County.
Mr. Reigle was the son of John Wesley and Lillian Bell Roderick Reigle. He was married to Lela Myers on June 25, 1921, in Des Moines.
Mr. Reigle was an Army veteran of World War I, affiliated with the Methodist Church. He held member ship as a Mason,Order of the Eastern Star,American Legion and World War I Barracks 1339.
Survivors include his wife, Lela; two daughters, LaVaun Harless of Omaha and Fayola McKee of Winterset; two grandchildren, one great grandchild and a sister, Ethel Clayton of Van Meter. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Orah, two sisters, Mabel Hazen and Alice Reigle and a grandaughter.
Funeral services for Lloyd Reigle were conducted Wednesday, April 26,at 10 a.m. from Collins Funeral Home with burial at the Des Moines Masonic Cemetery. Rev. Newton M. Coughenour officiated.
