William Hulbert Services Held

William A. Hulbert of Winterset, a Madison County resident most of his lifetime, died at Iowa Methodist Hospital in Des Moines last Friday, May 10. He was 75 years of age.

Mr. Hulbert was born in Madison County on April 5, 1899, the son of Derwin and Amy Hulbert. He was married to Dora Hermon at Des Moines on March 15, 1923.

Mr. Hulbert worked for the Madison County Secondary Road Maintenance department for 33 years.

He is survived by his wife, Dora, of Winterset; by one son, Charles Hulbert of Winterset; and by three daughters; Mrs. Marjorie Weeks of Lorimor, Mrs. Amanda Wren of Des Moines, and Mrs. Mary Lou Foley of Peru. Also surviving are 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, as well as one sister, Jenny Conard of Winterset.

He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers.

Funeral services were conducted at 1:30 p.m. Monday, May 13, at the Collins Funeral Home in Winterset, with the Rev. H.E. Borum officiating, Burial was in the Winterset Cemetery.
