Dwight DeForest Hart, 85, of Winterset, died Sunday, Feb. 15, 1998, at Integrated Health Services(formerly Community Care) in Winterset due to complications of a stroke.

Visitation will be today, Wednesday, Feb. 18 from noon to 8 p.m. at Collins Funeral Home Winterset. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. Funeral services will be held Thursday, Feb. 19, at 10:30 a.m. at First United Methodist Church.

Dwight Hart was born April 3, 1912, in Madison County to John Arch and Eloise Binns Hart. On Feb. 15, 1951, he married Grace Mease and they continued to live in Madison County. He was a member of the Masons and First United Methodist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and a sister.

He is survived by a son, Gailen Hart and his wife Mary of Houston, Texas; a daughter, Ann Whalen and her husband Len of Renton, Wash; two brothers, Lyle Hart and Dean Hart, both of Winterset, and four grandchildren.

Memorials may be directed to First United Methodist Church, 4-H or the Madison County Historical
Museum.
