Harry Curtis McKibben, son of Gideon S and Jennie McKibben, was born in Dallas County, August 31, 1888, and passed away at his home in Dallas Co. on March 24, 1967 at the age of 78 years and 7 months.

He lived in the Earlham vicinity during his entire lifetime, pursuing his work as a farmer.

On June 22, 1910 he was united in marriage to Inez Garrett of Earlham, to this union one son, Nile, was born on May 5, 1912. He found great joy in his family including the grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He was a member for many years of the Odd Fellows Lodge. He was a good friend and neighbor, willing to help out whenever needed.

Preceding him in death were his wife, his parents, four sisters and three brothers.

He leaves to mourn his passing his son, Nile; his grandchildren, Darrell and Darwin; three great grandchildren, Leslie, Scott and Samuel; three sisters, Mrs. Milton Ramsey of Waukee, Mrs. Dene Armstrong, and Miss Nita McKibben, both of Earlham; a munber of other relatives and a host of friends.
