Mortuary

Elbert Leonard Brown, son of Bradley and Margaret Brown, was born near Earlham, Iowa, May 3, 1870, and passed away at Los Angeles, California, November 11, 1928, aged 58 years, 6 months and 11 days.

At an early age his parents passed on and he made his home with his grandparents until his marriage to Miss Minnie Mae Maulsby, September 27, 1899. To this union were born four children, Karl, Roscoe and Gladys, now living, and Charles, who died in infancy.

Mr. Brown was affiliated with the Christian church and Masonic order for over thirty years. The first years of his home life were spent near Earlham, and the latter twenty-five years in Des Moines. For a year and up until the time of his death he resided with his daughter in California.

Besides his wife and children he leaves to mourn his loss two brothers and two sisters, W. E. Brown of Waukee; R. J. Brown of Patterson; Mrs. G. H. Delacy of Lincoln, Nebraska, and Mrs. C. W. Hayes of Earlham, and a number of nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
