Page 1Death of David Brinson
William Brinson received word last week of the death of his brother, David Brinson, of Pocatella, Idaho, at his home there. Mr. Brinson had a paralytic stroke seven years ago, and has been in poor health since then, being ill for a long time. He was an old soldier, having seen service in the Civil war, with Company D, of the first regiment in Colorado. During his forty years of residence in Pocatella, Mr. Brinson was a building contractor and cabinet maker.
The Rev. George S. Sloan conducted the funeral services, and he was buried with full military honors, members of Troop E, 116th Cavalry firing the salute at the Mountainview cemetery in Pocatella.
Mr. Brinson was born in Veava, the county seat of Switzerland county, in Indiana. He is survived by his wife, who resides in Pocatello, a daughter, Mrs. R. Sheppard, of that city; two sons, J. W. Brinson of Pocatello, and George F. of Nyssa, Oregon. The brother who resides here is the last member of the family.
