Wyman Bush, 82, of Winterset, passed away on December 7, 2024 at Azria Health of Winterset.
Wyman was born on July 9, 1942 in Winterset to Wray and Mildred (Sheldon) Bush. He graduated from Winterset High School in 1960. On June 18, 1966, he married Sandra Walker at the First Christian Church in Winterset. After high school, Wyman worked and traveled laying asphalt across the state. He soon wanted to settle down and switched jobs and went to work at Pittsburgh Des Moines Steele to be closer to home. Following his time working for PDM Steele, Wyman worked for the City of Winterset at the Waste Water Treatment Plant.
Wyman was an excellent pool player and enjoyed playing casually and in tournaments. He won many trophies and awards during his many years of playing. He was a good card player and knew how to play any card game imaginable. Wyman also enjoyed getting to spend time with his grandchildren. They were one of the many highlights of his life.
Wyman is survived by his wife of 58 ½ years, Sandy; children, Karen Bush, Jeff Bush, Kevin (Jen Vrenick) Bush, and Judy (Monty) Lynch; and grandchildren, Brock (Hannah) Bush, and Grace Hockett. He was preceded in death by his parents; infant son, Earl Ray; and siblings, Donald Bush and Irene Wolken.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, December 11, 2024 at Caldwell Parrish Funeral Home, Winterset Chapel. The family will greet friends one hour prior beginning at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow in the Winterset Cemetery.
