Page 3Mrs. Milo Miles Died at 66
Mrs. Leah M. Miles, a resident of Madison County for most of her lifetime, died at University Hospitals in Iowa City last Thursday, December 27. She was 66 years of age.
Mrs. Miles was born June 6, 1907 at Basin, Wyoming the daughter of J. Eugene and Carolyn Stanley Brown. She was married to Milo M. Miles at Winterset on May 19, 1929.
Mrs. Miles devoted her life as a homemaker and was an inspector at an egg plant in Des Moines. She was active as a member of the W.S.C.S., the N. O. Club of Patterson and was a member of the 60-Plus Club's Kitchen Band.
She was affiliated with the Patterson Methodist Church.
Survivors included her husband, Milo Miles of Patterson; and five children; Milo J. Miles of Arvada, Colorado; Mrs. Vernon (Joan) Morris of Earlham; Mrs. Sherrow (Carolyn) KIrk of Rio, Illinois; Mrs. Bud (Sondra) Shuff of Winterset; and Phillip D. Miles of Indianola.
Two brothers, John E. Brown of Winterset and Virgil Clements of Dexter as well as 15 grandchildren, also survive. She was preceded in death by----line missing--.
Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday December 29, at the Patterson Methodist Church in Patterson with the Rev. W. Eldon Ringle officiating. Burial was made in Earlham Cemetery, Earlham, Iowa.
