Scranton---Funeral services were held Saturday, August 19, at the Methodist church here for Lola Irene Beeson. The Rev. Roy Pfaff, pastor of the church, officiated. Interment was at the Scranton cemetery.
Pall bearers were Cully Brown, Leo Kepple, Carl Wolfe, Albert Plum, Clyde Mallett, and Guy Allstot. Piano accompanist was Mrs. B. E. Friend and the hymns were sung by Hazel Christensen and Lucille Hanna.
Lola Irene Beeson, daughter of James Perley Beeson and Della Jane Morgan, was born in Earlham, Iowa, December 23, 1910, and passed away in Scranton on August 17, 1950, at the age of 39 years, 7 months and 25 days.
The first four years of her life was spent in Earlham and the next four years in Perry. After that they moved to Bayard, where she lived until 1931.
She was united in marriage to Frank G. Meyers on July 2, 1931, in Jefferson. They established their home in Scranton where they have since resided.
To this union three children were born: Robert Frank, who preceded his mother in death in August of 1949, at the age of 10 years; Lora Lee, 9 years of age, and Larry G., 5 years old.
She united with the Methodist church before her marriage and had her membership transferred to the Methodist church in Scranton in 1933.
In addition to her husband and two children, she leaves to mourn her passing her mother, Mrs. Della J. Beeson, of Guthrie Center; three sisters, Mrs. Doris Coe, of Wichita, Mrs. Pauline Woods, of Scranton, and Mrs. Lavonne Collins of Guthrie Center; three brothers, Cleo, of Coon Rapids, Roland of Stoneham, Mass., and Lennis, of Guthrie Center; other relatives and a host of friends.
