Word was received the first of the week by relatives here that Mrs. Harriet McMillan, mother of Mrs. C. M. Daniels, had died at Denver, Friday, Oct. 20. The body will be brought here for burial beside that of her husband in Mountain View cemetery. Mrs. McMillan was past 97 years of age at the time of her death.

Transcriber's note: Surname on gravestone is "McMillen". Maiden name taken from her 1837 Brown County, Ohio Marriage Record. Per the husband's (John) obituary, the McMillens lived in Winterset for over 30 years. A death notice in the Denver newspaper said she died at the home of daughter Mrs. O. H. Loftus. There was no obituary.
