Kermit Vincent Bardwell, 69 years old, of Winterset, Iowa, passed away on 08/13/2024, after a month-long battle with Pancreatic Cancer.
Kermit was born on 11/17/1954 to Robert D. Bardwell and Dixie Lee Bardwell in Des Moines, Iowa. After Kermit graduated from Winterset High School in 1974, he joined the Army but was honorably discharged due to a seizure disorder. He then worked for years at Elsie Mason Manor as door security. After that position was deleted, due to modern technology, he worked at the Winterset School as a Janitor.
He is preceded in death by his Father, Robert D Bardwell and Mother, Dixie Lee Bardwell. He is survived by his significant other Sue Miles, sisters; Cinda Root (Elton), Sheila Garner (Eric), Julie Forsyth (Harold), Cheryl Kurimski (Joe) and his brothers; Robert Michael Bardwell (Carrie), Patrick Bardwell and Oliver Bardwell (Carrie), 20 Nieces and Nephews and 26 Grand Nieces and Nephews.
His Funeral will be held on 08/23/2024, at 2:00 p.m., at the Iowa Veterans Cemetery, in Van Meter, Iowa. A Celebration of Life will be held on 08/24/2024, from 2-4 p.m. at the North Shelter in the Winterset City Park.
