Transcriber's note: This Madisonian death notice appears to be a miscommunication between the Madisonian and the County Recorder's office. There is no "James Soloman" nor any variance of that surname in any Madison County vital record except for a James Solomon who died in 1886 and is buried in the North Branch Cemetery. "Solomon James Shepherd" appears in the Madison County Death records, having died in South Township on March 10, 1881 at 5 days old and was buried in the Blair Chapel Cemetery.
