John Terry Ritchie, 77, of E. Twenty-ninth street and Tiffin avenue, died Wednesday at the Daniels Nursing Home, 1307 Pennsylvania ave.
Born in Oneida, Ill., he had lived in Miles City, Mont., before coming to Des Moines 20 years ago. He had been employed by the State National Bank of Miles City. During World War I he was active in Red Cross work.
Services will be at 3 p. m. Friday at the Dunn Funeral Home. The body will be cremated.
He is survived by a sister, Jennie M., of Des Moines.
_________________________Transcriber's note: The deceased came with his parents to Madison County in 1877 (age about 6) and is in the 1880 and 1885 Madison County Censuses. His surname on his gravestone is "Ritchey".
