Transcriber's note: Per the Madison County Death Record, age is not given, he died in Jefferson Township and burial was in "Clayton's Cemetery". There is no present day Clayton Cemetery in Iowa. It is possible that it is a corruption of "Clanton's Cemetery" which was an alternate name for the St. Charles Cemetery but there is no way to verify it. There is no match to any census record in Madison County.
