Obituary

Elizabeth Creger was born in Summerfield, Ohio, on August 3, 1829, removed with her parents to Iowa at the age of fifteen years.

She united with the Christian church and continued a faithful follower of Christ until the end.

She was married to Ezra Sutton in Madison county, Iowa on December 7, 1856. To this union were born five children, Kisiah Jane; Mahala Alice; Celesty Etta; Julia Ann; and Easter Ellen, all of whom survive her. With her family she removed to Phillips county Kansas in 1872.

In 1875 she united with the M. E. church of which she has been a consistent member. In July 1899 her husband passed away.

The funeral sermon was preached at the Eli Patterson home by Rev. Ryder at 12:30 and the remains were interred in the Logan cemetery. The text used was "'Now is Christ risen from the dead", 1 Cor. 15:20. All the children were present as were also some relatives from Bogue.
