Creston, IowaStephen Monroe Roseman, 58, of Lorimor died Friday, March 1, 2024, at his work in Winterset.
Celebration of Life Service will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday March 9, 2024, at Powers Funeral Home in Creston. Pastor Mary O’Riley will officiate. Services will be livestreamed under the events page on powersfh.com. Open visitation will be 2-7 p.m. Friday March 8, 2024, at the Powers Funeral Home in Creston with family to receive friends from 5-7 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorials can be directed to the family. Stephen Monroe Roseman was born March 29, 1965, in Estherville, Iowa to John Monroe Roseman and Marilyn Lee (Goodwin) Roseman. Stephen graduated from LaVerne High School in 1983. He then continued his education by taking college level horticulture classes.
On November 5, 1988, Stephen was united in marriage to Sandra Dee Strange in Winterset, Iowa. They settled in Winterset where Stephen was employed at Rose Acres. Later, Stephen and Sandy moved to Lorimor where they currently resided. From their union came three children, Kurtis, Amber, and Britney. Stephen was an active papa, enjoying any and all activities his grandchildren were involved with. He was an avid motorcyclist and he enjoyed taking his annual bike trips with his wife and son, passing on his passion to his grandbabies.
Stephen is survived by his wife Sandy Roseman of Lorimor, Ia.; children, Kurtis Roseman of Lorimor, Ia., Amber (Mike) Kearney of Orient, Ia., and Britney Roseman (Dakota Walton) of Creston, Ia.; his father and step-mother, John and Glenda Roseman of Claremont, Ca.; his mother, Marilyn Manning of Pasadena, Ca.; a brother, David (Mary Nicholas) Roseman of Anchorage Ak.; three sisters, Heather (Brian) Ault of San Diego, Cal., Melissa (Dave) Heitman of Roseville, Cal., and Karen (Alfredo) Ulloa of LaVerne, Cal.; along with his 5 grandchildren, Maylei Myers, Hazel Kearney, Nolan Roseman, Lane Kearney, and Charlie Roseman.
Stephen Roseman was preceded in death by his brother, Larry Roseman, and a sister, Diana Ferguson.
