George O. Hayes, 95, died Friday at Bettendorf Health Care Center. Services will be 10 a.m. Monday at Muscatine Memorial Park, with military rites by the Veterans of Foreign Wars and American Legion. There will be no visitation.
Ralph Wittich Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Hayes was a retired plumber. He and his wife, Clara, were married in 1921. She died in 1974.
He was a veteran of World War I. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. Survivors include a daughter, Maxine Silberhorn, Muscatine; a son, Lawrence, Bettendorf; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.
