Mrs. Minnie Guiberson, 85, former resident of Olympia, died at her home in Dwight, Illinois, Wednesday. Mrs. Guiberson was born in Minnesota, January 7, 1856, and was united in marriage with Sylvester Guiberson in Iowa. Their home was in Kent Washington for several years.
Surviving are two sons, Harry and Sylvester of Winlock, five daughters, Mrs. Grace Whalen and Mrs. Lulu Kempf, of San Francisco, Mrs. Jessie Stanley, of Dallas, Texas, Mrs. Gladye Candle, of Lawrenceburg, Tennessee, Mrs. Willa Maris, of Illinois; 12 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be in Mills & Mills’ this Monday afternoon at 1:30 o’clock, the Reverend Paul Ashby presiding. Burial will be in IOOF Cemetery.
________________________Transcriber's note: Although the Guibersons did live in Madison County where birth records show they had children there, the marriage record shows they married in Minneapolis, Minnesota from which her maiden name was taken.
