Don Wharff, a son of Mr. and Mrs. John Wharff, died at a sanitarium in Michigan Monday morning. He had been a patient there for several months. His death was caused from T. B. of the bowels. The body was brought back here Thursday morning and taken to the home of his sister, Mrs. Fred Black.
Funeral services were held Friday at Wick with burial in the Wick cemetery.

Funeral services for Donald Wharff, who died in Pontiac, Mich., were held at the Wick church last Friday afternoon, conducted by Rev. Paul Hann fo Fort Madison, assisted by Rev. Kirby of St. Charles. Burial was made in the Wick cemetery.
Donnie, as he was familiarly known, had lived in Pontiac, Mich., and worked in the Pontiac Automobile factory for several years and had become a foreman.
His health failed a year ago and his death came Dec. 24, after a lingering illness.
He is survived by his wife and two children of Pontiac; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Wharff of St. Charles; one sister, Mrs. Fred Black of St. Charles; Raymond of Fort Dodge; Cecil of St. Charles; Harry, Harold, John and Vance of Pontiac and Detroit, Mich.
