Funeral services were held at the Hamilton funeral home in Des Moines Tuesday, November 25, for William McDowell, who died Saturday evening at the home of his grandson, Richard Anderson, of Des Moines.
He was born July 4, 1865, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert McDowell, near Winterset.
He was preceded in death by twelve members of his family including his twin brother and is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Mary Buchanan of St. Charles and Mrs. Etta Miller of Chicago, Illinois.
________________________Transcriber's note: Middle name taken from his Iowa Death Certificate. It is highly likely that it should say "Rollstin" as this is his mother's maiden name as found on her father's gravestone.
