Richard C. Hall, 42, Dies in California

STEVENSVILLE - Richard C. Hall, 42, former resident of Stevensville, died at Costa Mesa, Saturday after an extended illness. He was born Aug. 31, 1916 at Marcus Hook, Pa., and came to Stevensville when a young man with his parents, the Rev.and Mrs. John T. Hall. He later moved to Alaska and was married to Leona Burgin Aug. 31, 1940 at Seldovia.

Mr. Hall was employed in Alaska as a public accountant until he and his family moved to California in 1956 due to failing health. He is survived by his widow, Leona; a daughter, Janice, and a son, Charles; his parents at Martin City; three brothers, Albert, Hamilton; David, Spokane; and Mike, Stevensville. Services will be conducted at Costa Mesa.

Transcriber's note: The Hall family lived in Winterset in the early 1930s and the deceased was a 1934 graduate of Winterset High School. Middle name taken from his WWII Draft Registration.
